The Extar EM9-18 is the factory magazine for the EP9. We created this magazine using our extensive knowledge of materials and mold design to produce the best polymer Glock-type magazine on the market. The EM9-18 holds 18 rounds and can be inserted on a closed bolt for 18+1 in your firearm. Compatible with all full-size 9mm (double-stack) Glock handguns and compact and sub-compact variants, the EM9-18 is lightweight, has smooth feeding, and will drop free in the Extar EP9.

We determined that we would not offer a magazine unless it at a minimum met if not exceeded the performance of the Glock OEM magazines. Our experience with engineering-grade materials, tooling design, and state-of-the-art processing has allowed us to accomplish our goal and offer a premium magazine at an affordable price.

The Extar Magazines match feed lip rigidity of the Glock OEM mags and exceed that of Korean import steel lined. They of course exceed the rigidity of all other polymer-only aftermarket offerings that we could find.

The quality control regarding exterior sizing far exceeds the Glock OEM mags ensuring drop-free magazine release in our EP9, and easier insertion of full mags as they swell when full less than the Glock OEM.

We have engineered this magazine to allow for inserting at full capacity on a closed bolt in our EP9, without damaging the magazine spring (as is the case with the Glock OEM and all other know aftermarket offerings).

EP9 users that need to depend on their firearm should be mindful that two lesser capacity magazines that always function are far superior to a 33-round magazine that may or may not function properly. A magazine change is a natural and memorized action. The clearing of varying jams is not.

Here is a gallery showing the fit in various compatible handguns.
