Pre-Sale Questions
Ordering firearms online is fairly simple considering how regulated these items are. On our site at checkout, you will automatically be prompted to choose a licensed firearm dealer for us to ship your order. Some dealers may appear as "Verified" and are labeled with a Green Check Mark. With these dealers, we have access to their current FFL which is required for us to ship. We do recommend you call them to confirm the following:
• Let them know you are having a firearm shipped to them for transfer.
• Ask what fee they will charge.
• Confirm their business hours will work for you.
Select them at checkout and your order will be shipped to them. You will complete a background check ( in most situations) so the dealer can transfer the firearm to you.
For all other dealers on our map, it is up to you to call them first to check that they will do a transfer for you. Then you will need to have them send a signed copy of their Federal Firearms License (FFL) to us. We will help you with this process by sending instructions after you place your order.
We sell our products directly to the customer in order to give you the best prices possible. Some dealers buy our products and offer them in-store, but we currently do not have a dealer program or dealer distribution. Order directly from us for the best service and price.
We do not make special versions of our firearms to comply with restrictive state laws. Since we make modern, effective firearms, they fall under what politicians call "assault weapons". We do not allow orders to California, Delaware, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Hawaii, Washington, Connecticut, or Massachusetts, regardless of any parties exempt from the state law.
We do not offer any discount on our products besides what is advertised to everyone. This means that there is no discount to dealers, wholesalers, retailers, veterans, police departments, police officers, firearms industry workers, first respondents, or anything else. We appreciate our customers who have served the people, but we are a civilian firearms company that wants to give the best price that we can to everyone.
Product Questions
We recommend that our customers only use brass-cased or steel-cased ammunition from name brands in your EP9. Due to the direct blowback design of the EP9, always avoid aluminum cased and reloaded/re-manufactured ammunition. For economical and reliable performance we highly recommend shooting TulAmmo through Extar magazines or genuine Glock magazines. We do not recommend using +P ammunition.
We recommend genuine Glock magazines or Extar EM9 magazines for use with the EP9. The EP9 accepts all Glock-type 9mm magazines except for the G26 and G43/G43x/G48 model mags.
The EP9 accepts any 1/2-28 threaded muzzle accessories, some SB Tactical Stabilizing Braces, AR pistol grips, and some AR fire control groups (functionality not guaranteed). We do not recommend any substitution of factory parts beyond these.
From the factory, our EP Pistols have a non-adjustable receiver extension (buffer tube) that only accepts our Extar Stabilizer and some SB Tactical Braces. The compatible SB Tactical braces are the SB-Mini, SBL, SBM4, SOB, SBX-K, or the SBV. With the addition of our Adjustable Receiver Extension customers can mount the adjustable SB Tactical braces like the SBA3, SBA4, or SBA5.
The EP9 has an integrated point for a Quick Disconnect “QD” sling attachment, at the rear of the receiver. Additional QD attachment points can be attached to the picatinny-style rails if desired. Some cheaply made QD swivels are inconsistent sizes, so we recommend the MagPul MAG540 QD swivel for a guaranteed fit.
The EP9 receiver extension can not be replaced with any third-party, aftermarket, or "Mil-Spec" receiver extension. Our lower receiver and receiver extension are connected in a completely proprietary manner that does not allow the receiver extension to be replaced with any third-party components. This choice is due to the EP9 being designed with the shooting experience and lightweight as the top priorities.
The specially produced Acetal takedown pin should NEVER be replaced with a metal item. The Pin is a crucial part of the EP system that in conjunction with the ramps on the Lower Receiver act to dampen and dramatically reduce bolt bounce. Integrating a rigid metal takedown pin will increase bolt bounce along with transferring the possible breakage point during anomalies from the pin to the Upper Receiver.
No, there is currently no way to add a folding receiver extension or "buffer tube" to the EP9. The EP9 receiver extension is necessary for the function of the firearm, and folding tube adapters for the AR-15 (such as the Law Tactical Folder) do not work with the EP9.
No, it is not. On the Extar EP Pistols, the M-LOK handguard is textured with vertical lines down the handguard. These lines give a "3D-Printed" appearance incidentally, but the part is in fact injection molded.
