Extar’s Take: The Holosun SCRS is a leap forward in optics technology and currently there is no other red dot on the market like it. The real magic of the SCRS is the simplicity, as there is no removable battery and no need to ever replace the battery or turn the optic on/off. The integrated battery gets recharged from the solar panel on top and the optic will turn itself on and off based on motion sensors. This optic also features automatic reticle brightness adjustment, with the option for manual control if needed. The icing on the cake is the fact that this red dot is extremely compact and lightweight, meaning it pairs well with a lightweight firearm like our EP Series! The Holosun SCRS comes with a high mount, so we are bundling it with a low mount to better fit the EP Series rail height.

The SCRS-RD (Solar Charging Rifle Sight) advances Holosun’s SCS technology creating an all-new, ultra-compact 20mm tube sight designed for long gun applications. SCRS-RD features multi-directional light sensors and an advanced Auto Mode for automatic reticle intensity settings and Manual Mode for manual control of dot intensity.  

SCRS-RD is made from 7075 aluminum and includes a lower 1/3 co-witness, 1.63” mount that utilizes Holosun’s proven 509T footprint for compatibility with third-party offset RDS mounts. SCRS-RD is available with a 2MOA dot only or Holosun’s MRS (Multi-Reticle System). SCRS-RD features 12 reticle intensity settings, four of which are compatible with night vision devices and up to 50k hour battery life.
